Being a filmmaker is both creatively gratifying and alarmingly frustrating.
In this documentary, a group of independent filmmakers band together to lay down the building blocks of their dream to shoot
a feature length crime-drama set in the city of Detroit. Producer and writer Daryl Keith Middlebrook succeeded in raising
funds to shoot five scenes from the film. Middlebrook also put together a diverse crew, with women holding down several key
position such as director, co-producer and gaffer, positions almost always held by men. The documentary shows the professionalism,
technical expertise and dedication these independent filmmakers have in creating a film worthy of financial backing and support.
